My first real spacemarine. I think he is a chaplain of some sort. As I have absolutely no clue to how the fluff behind these are and how they therefore should be painted, I just tried being experimental.

My first thought to paint it like Abaddon the despoiler. That was, however, a little boring as this model need more... something... than the despoiler. Then I experimented with shoulderpads...I'm not satisfies with the right one... The cross came late, because the checkpattern looked boring. The left shoulderpad is ok, I think.

The pattern on the armour was originally meant to be stars and galaxies, but later on I thought of them as bubbles of air, or the scaly skin of a lizard or something...

As you can understand this model had no plan when I started painting. So that's why, if you think ot looks odd...
